Consistent with its commitment to constantly reward teeming fans of Arsenal Football Club (The Gunners) and especially users of its co-branded card, UBA Gunners Debit Card, United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, a leading financial institution in Africa, has commenced another promo tagged "UBA Gunners Live" which will offer lots of exciting prizes.
The launch of the new promo was held at Number 10, a highbrow restaurant in Victoria Island Lagos, where the bank also presented a brand new Toyota Camry Salon car to Mr. Oguike Tochukwu, the second winner of the star prize of the maiden edition of the recently concluded UBA Gunners Card promo. At the maiden edition, lucky users of UBA Gunners Card were rewarded with brand new cars, all expence paid trips to London to watch Arsenal Fc live matches at the Emirates, among other prizes.
It will be recalled that a Lagos based Banker, Mr Obadan Aigboje won the first Toyota Camry Salon car which has been presented to him.
The promo, which starts from 15th August and ends on 16th October, will reward the winner with a star prize with an all expense trip paid to watch Arsenal FC of London play live at the Emirates Stadium. Other prizes to be won during the promo include; Arsenal gift packs, footballs, branded materials and other prizes.
Speaking at the launch, Ms Rachael Mushaike, Divisional Head, Product Marketing Strategy, United Bank for Africa Plc, said the promo would reward current users of the UBA Gunners Card whilst new cardholders will be eligible to participate in the promo provided they purchase the Gunner's Card before the final draw which will be held on October 21st 2009.
Commenting on the eligibility of the cardholders to participate in the draw, Mushaike said that the cardholder would need to spend up to N30,000.00 using the Gunners Cash Card on a purchase at any Point of Sale (POS) terminal or ATM withdrawal between August, September and October, 2009.
The promo will also be accessible to Arsenal fans via the bank's social network websites, Facebook, You Tube and Twitter.
The bank has also launched the "Arsenal Solus Page" where everyone who goes to Arsenal FC website will see UBA Gunners card page which will link the card holders to the Gunners page on our website where they can download the form and view the promo flyer," says Ms. Mushaike.
UBA entered into an exclusive and strategic partnership deal with the English football giant, Arsenal Football Club. The deal, signed by officials of both institutions at Emirates Stadium in London on Tuesday May 27, 2008, will see UBA and Arsenal collaborate on a variety of Arsenal financial services and grass root football initiatives. The financial services partnership will include co-branded electronic payment solutions such as debit and credit cards for consumers in all West African locations where UBA currently operates.
