Somalia: Ahlu Sunna Forces Say They Took Over the Control of Wabho Village in Central Somalia

Wabho — The Islamic clerics of Ahlu Sunna Waljama'a have said that they took over the control of Wabho village in Galgudud region; officials told Shabelle radio on Tuesday.

Sheik Abdullahi Sheik Abdirahman Abu Qadi, a spokesman of Ahlu Sunna Waljama'a clerics told Shabelle radio that they completely took over the control of Wabho town where there was heavy fighting between between Harakat Al-shabab Mujahideen in over the recent days.

The spokesman said that they fought with the forces of Harakat Al-shabab Mujahideen in the village saying that they totally captured the town after fighting according to him adding that they had inflicted more casualties to the other side of the clashes in the village in Wabho village in central Somalia.

The statement of Ahlu Sunna Waljma'a comes as there had been tensions between forces loyal to Harakat Al-shabab Mujahideen and Ahlu Sunna Waljama'a in Central Somalia.
