A clash on Monday between State Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) police officers in Anambra and Joint Task Force (JTF) personnel hunting for militants on the River Niger in Onitsha left six people dead and about 15 injured.
The state government issued a statement regretting the mix up, which involved policemen guarding dredging equipment who mistook JTF soldiers for militants.
