Liberia: Rights Group Advances Suggestions, Wants Qualified People Elected To The Legislature

A rights group, Movement for Liberia Destiny (MOLD), is proposing the equipment of the national legislature with those who have the educational credentials to do the work very effectively and not just anyone. The movement is not happy that the current legislature is composed of people who they claimed are less educated, even-though they did not name any lawmaker who falls below the margin of obtaining mere high school credentials.

In a statement issued yesterday under the signature of its Executive Director Khalifa Jabateh, MOLD said as people clothed with the authority to carry on policy to shift the destiny of the country in a positive direction, lawmakers should have the requisite academic qualifications.
