Mogadishu — The Transitional Federal government police department officials have said that they banned from the soldiers to have unlawful weapons through the Somali capital Mogadishu, official told Shabelle radio on Friday.
Colonel Abdullahi Hassan Barise, the spokesman of police department told reporters that they totally forbidden from troops having illegal guns and also those who do not wear the uniform of the army in the streets of the capital began from that day adding that no soldier could be seen in Mogadishu by no having the dress.
Col. Barise said that the transitional government will put on pressure to the soldiers who often stand the streets and rob the people from their belongings adding that there are Special Forces who took that responsibility earlier.
Asked about the clashes that often happen in Mogadishu, Col. Barise replied that their forces don't attack anyone pointing out that they would pay reaction if attacked.
The statement of the TFG police spokesman comes as there had been fighting between the Islamist forces and government soldiers in the Somali capital recently.
