Nigeria: Yuguda's Aide Cautions on Dangerous Utterances

Bauchi — The Special Adviser to the Bauchi State governor on Budget and Planning Alhaji Rabi'u Shehu Gamawa has cautioned former aides of the governor who were dropped last May against utterances aimed at running down the administration, saying they should not condemn an administration they served simply because they were dropped.

Governor Isa Yuguda had in May this year dropped all his aides, but later reinstated others believed to be important to his administration. Alhaji Rabi'u, who is among the few reinstated, advised his former colleagues to be patient as government had not foreclosed the possibility of reinstating them.

He described as untrue, allegations by one of the dropped aides that the state was in a mess, saying the administration of Yuguda when it came on board, assessed the situation and decided to focus on areas it believed were more important to the people.

He said the administration at inception focused on education, healthcare, water supply, youth empowerment and women development where it renovated over 28 secondary schools, sponsored several students to universities abroad, renovated and built several hospitals, sunk boreholes all over and provided employment and placement in tertiary institutions for its teeming youth.
