South Africa: President Recovering Well After Surgery

Pretoria — President Jacob Zuma is doing well after undergoing a planned minor surgical procedure to one of his eyes on Tuesday.

The Office of the Surgeon General in the South African Military Health Services confirmed on Tuesday that the President underwent the surgical procedure in Durban.

"His condition is excellent and he should make a full recovery within the next few days," said a statement released by the Office of the Surgeon General.

It is expected the President will be ready for State business from tomorrow.
