Somalia: President Sharif Departs to Djibouti

Mogadishu — The transitional government president of Somalia Sharif Sheik Ahmed has departed to Djibouti to have talks with his partner Osma'il Omar Gelle, officials told Shabelle radio on Wednesday.

The TFG officials had confirmed that the president led by high delegation flew from the international airport of Aden Adde in Mogadishu saying that the aim of the delegation is to have talks with jiboutian president Gelle about troops from that country would be sent to Somalia to support the government soldiers.

Ing. Abdirahman Omar Osman, the currency minister of the transitional government explained Shabelle radio that the trip of president Sharif and his delegation saying that both presidents Sharif and Gelle would focus on to Djiboutian troops supposed to be deployed to Somalia for the support of the transitional government

Reports say that the movement of the traffic and people on the street the connects the presidential palace and the international airport of Aden Adde in Mogadishu was halted before the departure of the president and his delegation and the trip comes as the president returned from abroad recently.
