Uíge — Experts of the patriotic education of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) from the Northern Military region, northern Uige province, opened Thursday a five-day workshop on HIV/AIDS and communication techniques for the health.
The training action, which is taking place at the barrack headquarters is being guided by the health technicians of the Angolan Armed Forces from the Army's General Staff.
The "concept of HIV/AIDS", "re-education behaviour of risks," "advice", "techniques of communication and health", "risk behaviour", "prejudice" among others, are the themes being analysed by the participants.
The head of logistic division, Colonel Manuel Rodrigues Carreira, who opened the workshop, in representation of commander of the northern military region, said that the event aims to equip the specialists on advocacy of information, communication and education about the disease.
According to him, this will serve to promote the change of behaviour on the risk within the soldiers.
However, the officer recognised the improvement of various prevention activities promoted by the experts associated with matters on the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
In his turn, the coordinator of the TB control of the Angolan Armed Forces, captain Isaac Francisco, called for more involvement of patriotic education staff in mobilisation of citizens on the danger of the disease.
