Heads of tax institutions in Africa will be converging in Kampala in November to form a forum where the continent's tax related matters can be jointly discussed with a view to improve revenue and tax administration.

Speaking during the Uganda Revenue Authority's customers appreciation week recently, the agency's Commissioner General, Allen Kagina, said between November 19 and 20, all heads of tax bodies in Africa will come together for the first time to launch a forum where they will frequently tackle the continent's pressing issues that cut across and need joint diagnosis.

"we shall be forming Africa's tax forum in November here in Kampala where all heads of tax institution in Africa will be present,"Ms Kagina said, adding that such forums not only bring us together to share experiences but help us deal with our common problems.
