Angola: Ruling Party Regrets Death of Over 20 People in Road Accident

Huambo — Members of Parliament from provincial division of the ruling MPLA party in central Huambo province, Sunday expressed deep dismay over the death of 28 people following tragic road accident happened Friday in Huambo/Tchicala-Tcholonhanga road.

Speaking on behalf of the parliamentarian team, the MP Edith Manuel Licimo guaranteed that the delegation has visited the wounded admitted in the city's central hospital and the families of the victims of the accident, which claimed 28 lives and 60 injured.

"We bow before the memory of the victims of the accident happened on September 25 in Huambo/Tchicala-Tcholohanga highway, because many of whom were children who could contribute to the development of the country" she said.

However, the MPs expressed dissatisfaction over those still driving under the influence of drink, others without driving licence and at high speed, accounts for the increase of the road accidents.
