Zimbabwe: Summit Calls for Security Council Reforms

Harare — President Mugabe returned home last night from a successful second Africa-South America summit in Margarita, Venezuela, where leaders from the two continents called for the overhaul of the United Nations Security Council to make it more democratic, transparent and responsive to new political realities.

Speaking at the end of the summit on Sunday, the leaders also publicly demanded an end to the illegal sanctions on Zimbabwe and Cuba.
