Uganda: Low Turn Up at Mayinja's Unplugged

Kampala — FOR a musician of his stature, Ronald Mayinja's unplugged music show at Silk Lounge last Thursday needed more initiave. The show delayed to kickoff because of the low turn up.

By the time Eagles Production Band made it to club silk, Irene Namatovu was getting on stage to perform her song Ekiwubaro.

Mayinja eventually got on the stage and for two and half hours, did not disappoint those present.

The event turned into a big funfair with the crowd joining him on the stage.

U|nlike his previous performances, the Eagles Production band up did not back him up.

Before the Club Pilsner-sponsored event was concluded, a raffle was drawn and free tickets for Bobi Wine's upcoming 'Carolina' concert were distributed.

By midnight it was apparent to the crowd that come the next uplugged show at club silk, they will require more than a creative and entertaining performer to make things happen.
