The Chief of Piyanko Kasaki in Karshi Development Area, Karu Local Government of Nasarawa State, Alhaji Sabo Mare, has decried the poor state of infrastructural facilities in his community and appealed for government's attention.
According to Mare, his community has been facing serious developmental challenges such as: primary schools, pipe-borne water, access roads, stressing that the atmosphere of learning in the only school is not conducive as the pupils always have classes under trees.
"The problems we are facing in my community is infrastructural development; schools for our children, good roads that will enable us convey our farm produce and safe drinking water. I'm appealing to our area council chairman to come to our aid. We know that the government cannot do every thing for its citizens, but our needs are fundamental to our lives," Mare said.
He, however, called on the people of Gade and Gwandara to see themselves as one family, stressing that lack of cooperation causes hatred among the people. He advised his subjects to be law-abiding citizens to enable him to move Piyanko Kasaki community forward.
Mare further applauded the emir of new Karshi, Alhaji Mohammadu Bako 11 over the role he played in uniting the people of Piyanko community.
It will be recalled that Mare, the Chichinawa Karshi, was turbaned on April 18, 2009, as the 2nd Chief of Piyanko Kasoki by His Royal Highness Alhaji (Dr.) Mohammed Bako 11, the Emir of New Karshi.
