Nigeria: Beware of Dirty Tricks, Ikpeba Warns Eagles

Former African player of the Year, Victor Ikpeba has advised the Super Eagles to take victory by force when they play Tunisia in their World Cup qualifier on Sunday.

Former African player of the Year, Victor Ikpeba has advised the Super Eagles to take victory by force when they play Tunisia in their World Cup qualifier on Sunday.

Analyzing the fixture, Ikpeba said he expects the Tunisians to play dirty while advising the Eagles to be clever and patient in their quest to beat their opponents in Abuja.

"With the quality of the players we have in the Super Eagles, and we compare them with the quality of the Tunisians, I think there is no doubt that we have more better players, talented players to make the day on September 6.

"I think they will come here and play counter attack, but we have to believe in ourselves, because it's a win or break game," said Ikpeba.

Ikpeba stated further that he has profound belief in the ability off skipper Nwankwo Kanu and his pals to make a difference, even in the face of negative tactics from the visitors.

"I personally believe that the boys will do their best and we will be victorious. The Tunisians will not come here and play good football. They will slow down the game.

"We believe in our talents. We have to force the result. We can do it. If they can beat France, they can beat Tunisia. It's a question of being patient.

"If they are patient, and clever enough, I know we will carry the day," concluded the member of Nigeria's Atlanta '96 Olympics gold wining squad.
