Cameroon: Fako CPDM support Paul Biya for 2011

The National President has been hailed for the socio-economic development that Fako currently enjoys.

Under the patronage of the Secretary General of the Cameroon People's Democratic Movement (CPDM) Central Committee, personally represented by the Minister of Small and Medium Size Enterprises, Social Economy and Handicraft, Professor Laurent Serge Etoundi Ngoa, thousands of militants turned out in Limbe during the weekend where they voiced their unflinching support to the ideals of the CPDM National Chairman President Paul Biya. Keynote speeches revolved on the numerous developments aspects Fako Division has benefited from the New Deal Government and particularly the pride of having two Prime Ministers for 13 successive years.

Grouping militants from Fako I, II, III, IV and V Sections, the Fako CPDM extraordinary joint section conference had as theme "Fako sailing with Paul Biya in solidarity and progress." Etoundi Ngoa hailed the organizers for the massive turn out and the patriotism exhibited by the militants through their constant support to the President. He promised to transmit the militants' goodwill messages, through the Secretary General of the CPDM Central Committee to the National President.

In his welcome address, the Government Delegate to the Limbe City Council, Motanga Andrew Monjimba enumerated the lofty development projects that Fako enjoys in terms of social and educational amenities and thanked the government for plans for the Limbe Deep Sea Port project, the construction of the Maritime Academy, the Cement Factory, among others. Peter Mafany Musonge, former Prime Minister, laid emphasis on the impressive historical achievements the militants have recorded for the CPDM with victories in different local and general elections. He thanked President Paul Biya for rewarding Fako bountifully as trustworthy partners in the business of governing the country. This, he said, is glaring through schools, health centres, roads, telecommunication network, electrification and industries.

Other speakers threw glowing praises on President Paul Biya for his fight against corruption and for the diverse socio-economic development projects in Cameroon. In motion a motion of support, they called on President Biya to stand as the CPDM candidate in the 2011 presidential election. A solidarity march was another highlight of the occasion. Remarkably present were militants from the four sections of the CPDM in Manyu, Professor Peter Agbor Tabi, Assistant Secretary General at the Presidency as well as the two former Prime Ministers Peter Mafany Musonge and chief Ephraim Inoni.
