Abuja — Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) still lacks the power to initiate any investigation, Head of its Public Enlightenment Department, Mike Sowe, has said.
Sowe, commenting on the proposed amendment of the ICPC Act, 2000 by the National Assembly, said at the weekend that the inability to initiate investigation has caused the perception that the commission is not doing enough in the anti-corruption war.
