Angola: MPs Check Social Reality in Kalandula

Malanje — Members of Parliament of the 2nd 3rd and 6th commissions of the National Assembly learnt Wednesday about the lack of teachers and nurses at Kalandula district, Malanje province.

At the end of a work visit to Kalandula municipality, 85 kilometres off Malanje city, the delegation chief deputy Manuel Lourenço da Silva underlined that information collected and his own view they concluded that there is lack of human sources in sectors like health and education.

According to him, in health sector traditional midwifes are not collaborating with sanitarian units because of lack of incentives adding that to solve this situation they will be studying a way.

Another issue is that works to rehabilitate and rebuild municipal hospital which started in 2007 are not finished yet.

He added that his delegation could also see that there are schools financed by non government organizations that are closed due to the shortage of teachers.
