Suez — Germany U-20 team yesterday made a late rally from 2-2 to beat the Flying Eagles of Nigeria 3-2 in Suez to earn a place in the quarter-final of the ongoing Egypt 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Dann y Uchechi and Rabiu Ibrahim gave the West Africans the lead on two occasions, in the 51 and 68 minutes in the match that Germany ended with one man sent off for rough tackle, but Bjorn Kopplin and Marion Vrancic drew level before Bjorn again sent the Europeans through.
