Nigeria: Obi, INEC and Apga

The Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, has joined the league of letter writers. Obi in his 'Letter to Nigerians' published in various newspapers not only exhibited a high sense of 'patriotism' by electing to communicate his fellow countrymen and women but he also betrayed a pathetic character trait that has become commonplace among the political elite. I expected Obi to engage the people on how he intends to turn the corner and offer quality governance for the remaining part of his tenure; instead, he took off on a tangential of self-pity by crowing for a second term in office. Pity!
