Kampala — Resilient consultant cardiologist based in Sydney, Australia, Dr Aggrey Kiyingi, is set to bounce back. We hear he is in the final stages of constructing a multi-billion heart patient hospital in Uganda.
The hospital, which we hear will be based near Kiyingi's home in Wakiso, will reportedly cater for low income earners. Snoops confirm that Kiyingi, who also owns Dehezi International, a computer and IT firm in Kampala, met a team of cardiologists in Sydney last week and got a commitment from them for technical assistance once the project is fully operational.
Heart patients have been flying to India for operations for over sh20m.
