Nigeria: ASUU Will Not Resume Strike-Oshiomhole

Benin — Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole says steps are being taken by both the federal and state governments to ensure that the Academic Staff Union of Universities [ASUU] does not resume its strike action after the two weeks suspension expires.

The governor said if Nigeria wants to be great, it could not afford to keep its schools shut. The governor spoke in Benin yesterday when members of the newly inaugurated Correspondents Chapel executives of the Nigerian Union of Journalists paid him a courtesy visit.
