Abuja — IN what looks like a melo drama, barely 24 hours after 23 aspirants rejected the nomination of the immediate past governor of Central Bank (CBN), Professor Chukwuma Soludo, as the candidate for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2010 gubernatorial election in Anambra State, six of them yesterday swallowed their vomits and made a u-turn.
It was a new twist in the Anambra State PDP family in Abuja when Deacon Bernard Okeke while addressing journalists read a communiqué stating the position of the aspirants.
The aspirants on Monday purportedly protested against the emergence of Soludo. Chuma Nwofor made the position of the aspirants known, but yesterday, they recanted, saying their signatures were forged.
Okeke disclosed that they were going to report the matter to the Inspector-General of Police aimed at bringing those behind the move that they were protesting over Soludo's nomination to book.
Other aspirants who dissociated themselves from the call for fresh primary and the removal of Soludo's name are Prince Emeka Eze, Chief Tony Ezeani, Dr. Solomon Ekwenze, Chief Samule Ikefuna and Dr. Amechukwu Ezike.
According to them, though some of them met on issues affecting the state, but they never signed any document.

Anambra state has had an unfair share of this PDP voodooism, enough is enough, Soludo as a consensus candidate should be allowed to contest and be a rallying point for other stakeholders so that this state can move forward.
