Nigeria: Court Restrains IG From Arresting Witness

Ado Ekiti — Temporary relief came the way of a witness, Mr Peter Oladosu, at the Ekiti Election Petition Tribunal, as a Federal High Court sitting in Ado-Ekiti, yesterday restrained the Inspector General of Police and the Commissioner of Police, Ekiti State Command, from arresting and detaining him.

Oladosu, an aide to Governor Segun Oni and a former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, who was an Action Congress (AC) Principal witness (PW46) at the tribunal, was said to have incurred the wrath of his former party for allegedly testifying against it.
