Zain Tanzania Limited has introduced another tariff plan that will enable its customers to communicate at reduced prices of up to 50 per cent to subscribers in other networks.

Speaking at the launch of the new tariff in Dar es Salaam yesterday, Zain Tanzania managing director, Mr Khaled Muhtadi, said the move was a continuation by his company to offer not only innovative and quality services, but also most affordable calling rates.

"As of today, Zain customers joining Pamoja Plus, can make calls and get up to 50 per cent off calls to a favourite number on any other network in the country. Additionally, all calls to other networks will be reduced by 17 per cent," he said.

The MD said that as for calls to Zain, our customers will enjoy the rate of Sh1 to 10 favourite numbers on Zain, and they will enjoy further reduction of 20 per cent for the rest of the calls to Zain numbers.

"Our customers have the right to extensive quality coverage which Zain provides and with Pamoja Plus, we will live up to our promise of creating a wonderful world by delivering the freedom to communicate with friends and family while lowering the barrier to making calls to other networks," he said.

He said that the company wants its customers to continue making calls to their friends, family and do business, without having to change their Zain SIM cards.

Mr Muhtadi also said that the company's customers can also join our exciting REWARDZ programme and accumulate points to redeem different prizes as well as receive discounts from our different Rewardz partners.

"We are committed to ensuring that our products and services are affordable and are of the best quality in order to enrich our customers' experience and make Zain the communication partner of choice,"said Mr Muhtadi.

Zain operates across the Middle East and Africa providing mobile voice and data services to 69.5 million active customers as at June 30, 2009.
