Arusha — The Bank of Baroda, Arusha branch has donated books valued at Tsh. 3 million to a local secondary schools in the municipality.
The assortment of about 200 text books from BOB were presented to the Green Valley Secondary school located in Mbauda-JR area recently.
The managing Director for BOB Umarkant Bijapur officially handed the books to the school management during the 2009 graduation ceremony held at the school premises.
The event marked a transition stage for a total of 158 pupils of Green Valley's primary schools who sat for exams early this week and who are to join secondary level education next year.
Earlier, according to the school director, Njarita Mzava, Bank of Baroda had donated to Green Valley a water reservoir tank.
