Kikulungo — At least 606 needy people benefited from food aid from the Ministry of Social Welfare (MINARS) during the period of June and September 2009 at the municipality of Kikulongo province of Kwanza Norte, Angop learnt on Wednesday.
According to the representative of MINARS in Kikulongo, Manuel Francisco Vunge, among the goods are quantities dry fish, beans, soap, maize meal and cooking oil.
The source said that kits of shoe retreading and shoemaker to create jobs were also delivered.
MINARS controlled in this phase 1,014 needy people between them 310 are orphans, 319 old people, 92 handicapped people and 219 vulnerable and 71 widows.
