WELL, well, well... Who would have thought Leonel would be the first guy to get it on in the house. He and Mzamo got all hot and steamy in the shower and Leonel later confessed to Emma that he had done IT! Reportedly.
I've got nothing against the Moz boy but I rather though he was batting for the other team, so I am more than shocked that he, out of all the macho, playboys in the house - was the first to do the deed.
Well if he's telling the whole story, that is! Boys will be boys.
Obviously, the BBA producers are not going to show us the two getting it on, there is a short clip on the BBA website but it only shows them passionately kissing (which is quite eeeuw, by the way) in the shower but no more than that.
Since then, Leonel has confessed to Emma that he doesn't want to hurt Mzamo but he just doesn't feel any chemistry towards her. Eish - that's got to hurt!
Nonetheless, that very same night he was cuddling up with Mzamo in bed again. Men! Sighhhhhhhh ...
But really, that Mzamo! Is she some kind of nympho or what? First she came on to Hannington. Then she and Quinn shared a kiss, now Leonel! She's obviously a sexually confident woman and she's certainly got guts but girl, watch out you don't go through all the guys in the house.
CARNIVAL TIME!
As for this week's task, it's Carnival time!
The housemates have been challenged to get a little dirty in their dancing. Biggie wants them to learn the salsa, samba and cha cha. The housemates need to learn the steps, then choreograph their own unique routines for the task presentation tonight. In addition they have to work on their outfits, create masks and do their own hair and makeup.
They've wagered 100% on the task but after getting motherlessly drunk on Tuesday night, things were looking a bit shaky as many were not in top form, suffering from hangovers.
Things were quite mad on Tuesday night, as things usually are when you put 12 drunkish people together. I don't know if it was Quinn's birthday or not, but he challenged both Kristal and Jeremy to a drink-off.
All three got quite drunk, with Jeremy later crying and Quinn, Jeremy and Kristal, who earlier said she has very low alcohol tolerance, puking their guts out.
The usually strong Kristal also broke down in sobs as she told the housemates about the struggles of being a coloured person. She explained that back home in Zimbabwe, people judge her for not being black and that people think she doesn't go through any struggles because she is coloured.
She also spoke about her father being in jail at one point for eight years - something to do with drugs - and said there was a period of about four years when they struggled financially. She said all they lived on during that time was dry bread, beans and eggs.
Eish, it came as quite a shock to see Kristal like that.
I have grown to like her even though some people think her know it all attitude and blunt accent are annoying. She talks sense and she is smart and intelligent.
I think she brought up quite a valid point. Being coloured comes with its own set of challenges in our post-apartheid society, but that's another column, for another day.
This week we have Keliz (Kevin and Elizabeth) against Quinn and Kristal in the eviction stakes. I like Kevin a lot, I really do. He's cool and fun but I think he is Eddie's biggest competition so even though I can't stand voting for Quinn, I will.
Just to clear a bit of the playing field for our boy. Eddie has survived a few evictions but I worry if he comes up against Kevin.
So, I hope you guys are voting to keep your favourites in. Watch tonight's task presentation at about 19h00 live on Channel 198 to see how the housemates get down with the Carnival task.
* You can watch Big Brother Africa 24 hours a day on DStv channel 198. The daily show, live nominations and eviction shows will be broadcast on M-Net Africa (DStv channel 102). Africa Magic (DStv channel 107) will broadcast all repeats.
