Tunisia: Employment Opportunities in Governorate of Manouba on the Increase

Tunis — The evaluation of the employment sector in Manouba during the third quarter of 2009 and primarily in the effective sectors in the labor market, were under focus at the meeting of the regional observatory for employment held in Manouba.

It appears that the employment sector posted an increase to reach 1914 operations by the end of September 2009 including 118 jobs for university graduates.

Insofar as employment opportunities for young people are concerned, 425 contracts were recently signed.

The number of beneficiaries of the National Employment Fund's assistance during the first nine months of 2009 has reached 88 beneficiaries to achieve a total number of 1110 beneficiaries of the program for the promotion of employment in addition to 1125 beneficiaries of various mechanisms of the National Employment Fund also known as 21/21 fund.

The meeting aims at strengthening youth's initiatives, attracting investments, giving opportunities for other people to boost the labor market by hiring university graduates and focusing on the development of regional administrative districts.

The Regional Employment observatory aims at monitoring the fluctuations in the labor market and diagnosing the facts of employment and investment in regions.
