Beledweyne — The traditional elders of Hiran region have Sunday welcomed greatly to the mediation of two Somali clan militias who recently fought in the border between Lower Shabelle and Hiran region in central Somali.
The traditional elders held meeting at Bar Fahiye centre in Beledweyn town and talked more on the mediating efforts continuing in Aden Yabal district in Middle Shabelle region to end the conflicts of the two clans in between both regions.
Abdulle Mumin Afrah, the spokesman of the traditional elders in Hirna region had read a press release which the elders issued from today's meeting to the journalists saying that the elders supported greatly to mediating efforts going on in Adan Yabal adding that more officials of Harakat Al-shabab Mujahideen are playing good role for efforts.
The statement of Hiran traditional elders comes as peace talks between the two rival clans continuing in parts of Middle Shabelle region in southern Somali and it is supposed to be the last peace agreement reached.
