Togolese President Faure Gnassingbe on Friday sent a special message to President John Evans Atta Mills in Accra.
Though the contents were not disclosed, it was believed to convey congratulations on the Black Satellites' victory at the just ended FIFA Under-20 Football Tournament held in Egypt.
It was also to commiserate with Ghana on the fire that gutted the offices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Accra last Wednesday.
Mr. Kofi Esaw, Togolese Minister for Foreign and Regional Integration, delivered the message to President Mills at the Osu Castle in Accra.
President Mills expressed appreciation for the visit that had reduced the pain Ghana suffered, and underscored the good relations between the two countries
"We are deeply touched by the very good gesture. The tragedy took the nation by surprise," President Mills said.
On the Satellites victory, both leaders agreed that it was a victory for Africa.
President Mills expressed Ghana's appreciation to African countries for supporting her pursuit of the FIFA Under-20 World Cup.
