Zambia: Chiluba Returns

FORMER Republican president Frederick Chiluba is expected back home today after completing his medical review and treatment in South Africa.

Dr Chiluba has been in South Africa for the past two weeks undergoing medical review and treatment for his heart condition. Dr Chiluba was at Garden City Clinic in Johannesburg.

His spokesperson, Emmanuel Mwamba said in an interview that Dr Chiluba was expected to arrive aboard a South African Airways plane at 12:30 hours.

"Dr Chiluba returns to Zambia today after undergoing medical review and treatment for his heart condition," Mr Mwamba said.

He said Dr Chiluba's doctors had put him on further observations for four weeks and would return to the hospital in December.
