Nollywood actress Shan George is getting busy in spite of the problems facing the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN). The actress is already on location with some Spanish stars for a new movie she is producing titled Super Zebra Man.
Leading the Spaniards is Javier Urtasun, who will be co-directing and playing the lead role as Michael in the movie alongside Basorge Tariah Jnr. Others include Horaci Marti and Imanol Reta.
Also on set of the movie, which has to do with a black guy acquiring powers from a Zebra that will enable him turn black and white at anytime, just to please the girl of his dreams, Niurka (played by Shan George), is Miss Sierra Leone, Tyrilia Gouldson, playing Fatima, another girl in love with the black guy (Michael played by Basorge Tariah Jnr.).
Other members of cast include, Sam Loco Efe and Segun Arinze.
In the movie Niurka is a singer, whose ambition is to go international. Michael sees her and thinks himself in love with her, as such, decides to get the powers to be black and white so she can like him, since before he met her, she had been dating a white guy.
But as all things, the magical power had a time limit and things went wrong, resulting in what Michael had not bargained for.
Shan George told Weekend Circuit that the movie script was written by the Spaniards and it was challenging getting the script to fit the Nigerian setting as well as getting the Spanish actors into the way things are done in Nigeria.
The movie, however, will have 80 per cent African culture and the lead actress will be singing cultural music and not English music.
Lead actor Javier Urtasun said he is happy to be working in Nigeria, adding that Shan George, who he first contacted through email, has proved that Nollywood is interested in doing business with international film makers.
The movie, which is a comedy, has at least for now, gulped N30million and more will still be put into the shooting among other things.
The best and newest of technology is what is being used in the movie hence the high cost.
