Ondjiva — The governor of the southern Cunene Province, António Didalelwa, declared Monday in Ondjiva City that the issuing of the new Identity card in the provinces illustrates the efforts made by the government to grant the Angolan citizenship to its people from Cabinda (north) to Cunene (south).
The government official made this comment during the inauguration of a fixed registration post designed for the issuing of the new ID, in the region.
According to António Didalelwa, the achievement of citizenship by the Angolans starts with a simple step which is the acquisition of this important personal document.
He highlighted that every citizen in the region, wherever they are, can acquire their new ID, since this activity will reach districts and villages of the province, through the creation of movable posts assisted by motor vehicles.
The act was witnessed by members of local government, traditional and religious leaders, representatives of political parties and the public in general.
