Luanda — Angola should create a legislation dealing with the cases of humans trafficking, defended Monday in Luanda the coordinator of International Organisation for Migration (IOM) programme, Lorena Pinto.
The IOM officials said this to Angop at the opening of national conference on Humans Trafficking, jointly promoted by the Interior Ministry and the International Organisation for Migration.
Lerena Pinto explained that this issue has not been referred to any legislation.
"Humans trafficking comes after weapons and drugs trafficking. So we must prevent this evil", he stressed.
According to Lorena Pinto, instead of legislation you can also resort to the criminal law for the particular cases of this evil.
To IOM official, the prevention of the phenomenon requires the staging of awareness campaigns, in order to know the methods and mechanisms of combating humans trafficking.
