Tunis — Three books were recently published on the many accomplishments of President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali. They are: "Ben Ali and the Writing of History" written by the Lebanese journalist and analyst George Alam, " Tunisia gateway to modernity " written by French journalist Francois Becèt and the third, "Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, President and builder of modern Tunisia" by Robert Khaiat.
"Ben Ali and the Writing of History", presents the many achievements in Tunisia, under the leadership of President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, who launched a nationwide balanced development plan, benefiting all regions .
The writer points out that this book is a token of brotherhood and gratitude to modern Tunisia, saying that President Ben Ali "is the head of state that has written history and is deeply convinced that only those who build their own destiny can write history."
Mr. Alam discusses the reformist approach being adopted by President Ben Ali since the change, through pluralism, democracy, human rights, and the economic and social achievements, which have promoted a balanced and inclusive society that enjoys a high standard of living and in which the middle class accounts for two thirds of the population.
The second book "Tunisia gateway to modernity" by Francois Becet, highlights the path chosen by President Ben Ali". An authentic Tunisian way which helped develop the country, while ensuring a redistribution of wealth.
The book aims at giving forays of Tunisia's economic and social policy whose internationally recognized success the author r explains in three key words: prudence, courage and solidarity.
The book praises the courage and wisdom of President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, who has always focused on the well-being of Tunisians.
The third book , "Zine El Abidine Ben Ali President and builder of modern Tunisia", is a vibrant testimony to the accomplishments of Tunisia's President , who since his accession to the highest office is leading the country towards democratic transition and economic development, hoisting it among to the rank of emerging countries, and building a modern, stable and balanced society.
In his book Mr. Robert Khaïat focuses on the modernization of society in its various aspects, namely, access to education, women emancipation, the stability of the economy, and cultural influence.
He writes that "the vision of President Ben Ali is based on tenets , including the progress, respect for the environment, and enhancement of heritage".
