Lagos — Rahamaniyya Airlines has revealed plans to launch a low fares carriers on domestic scene in 2010. The Managing Director of the airline Alhaji Mohammed Tukur said the proposal is subject to the final approval of its Airline Operating Certificate (AOC) by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).
He said instead of using any of the Boeing series on its planned domestic route network, the airline management is looking at the option of using moderate young generation aircraft for its operations.

Turkur said the when the low fares scheme took-off the face of domestic air travel would be transformed, adding that the airline has a populist agenda to endear its services to a large proportion of air travellers in the country.
He said: "Only negligible percentage of travellers goes on first class. Our aim is to provide low air fares to our customers and good service as our bedrock."
He said Rahmaniyya would be flying into some State owned airports to aid developments aside from flying into cities such as Gombe, Kano, Maiduguri, Enugu, and Kaduna with Abuja as the airline's hub.
