Zambia/Rwanda: Karekezi Fit for Zambia

Kigali — NORWAY-based midfielder Olivier Karekezi has confirmed his availability for the final Group C qualifier against Zambia set for November 14 in Kigali.

Rwanda's football federation, Ferwafa yesterday revealed that the Ham Kam player will be available after recovering from a thigh injury.

Karekezi, 27 underwent surgery in September and was given four weeks to recover- thereby missing Amavubi's 1-3 away defeat against Algeria.

Karekezi will be joined by other professionals like Amavubi skipper Hamad Ndikumana (AEL Limassol), Saddou Boubakary (Alhly Tripoli), Louis Aniweta (Nea Salamina Famagusta), Said Abedi Makasi (Difaa El Jadida), Jean Paul Lutula (FC Brussels) and Edwin Ouon (AEL Limassol).

The Amavubi Stars will regroup on November 2, twelve days before their crucial 2010 Africa Nations Cup qualifier.

Technically, a two-goal victory for Amavubi will leave the sides level on points, bringing goal difference and head to head record between the two teams into play.
