Warri — MEMBERS of the National Association of Seadogs (NAS), also known as Sudanese Q-Zone, Warri, Delta State, yesterday staged a peaceful march along major roads in the oil city calling on the Federal Government to sever diplomatic ties with the Sudanese government.

The group also appealed to the Federal Government to arrest Sudanese president, Omar Al-Bashir, citing the killings of minority ethnic group in Dafur as the reason.

The Sudanese president has been declared wanted by the International Criminal Court (ICC) over alleged war crimes that led to the death of thousands of innocent citizens of the Sudan.

The Pyrates confraternity maintained that Nigeria, being a signatory to United Nations' treaty, should assist the world body in bringing Al-Bashir to justice, if he dared step into the country to attend the African Union (AU) security summit in Abuja, describing his invitation by the Nigeria government as unacceptable.

The placard-carrying seadogs, led by the president of the zone, Mr. Suuny Esu, said the protest was aimed at sensitizing the people on the proposed visit of Al-Bashir to the country.
