Angola: Luanda at MPLA Congress With 115 Delegates

29 October 2009

Luanda — MPLA provincial committee of Luanda will be represented with 115 delegates in the party's sixth congress, set for 07-10 December in the capital city, ANGOP has learnt.

This was announced on Thursday by the organisation's second provincial secretary, Maria Carolina Fortes, on the fringes of the 10th provincial conference of the party, taking place in Luanda.

At the conference, according to her, it will debated the activities carried out so far, as well as elect the provincial committee composed by 115 members, the same number of delegates to the party's congress, set for December.

The conference is being attended by 500 delegates, 250 permanent guests, among others.

"Conditions are set for the holding of the provincial conference", she said.

The conference will be opened by the outgoing first secretary, Bento Bento.
