Luanda — Zambian ambassador to Angola, Marina Mukolokota Nsingo, said Wednesday in Luanda that politico-diplomatic relations between the two countries are based on principles agreed at the first permanent conference of cooperation, held in 1979.
The Zambian diplomat told ANGOP that since1979 the two countries have been engaging in the consolidation of cooperation.
Marina Nsingo mentioned as example the signing, in April this year, of agreements in the domains of abolition of fees on visas on diplomatic passports, in the judicial area and another one related to the resumption of the repatriation of Angolan refugees in Zambia.
She argued that these accords, which join various others already signed, consolidate more and more this reciprocal relation.
The diplomat said a government delegation from Zambia is expected next November in Angola, integrated by the Ministers of Finance, Communications and Public Works and Equipment, to study with local authorities new forms of cooperation.
Similarly, she expressed her government's interest in cooperating with Angola in exploring Kavango River Basin (located on the border between the two countries).
