Ghana: Work Hard to Wrest Seat From NPP in 2012 Polls

Mr. Mohammed Boakye-Agyemang, Ejisu-Juaben Municipal Chief Executive, has urged supporters of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the constituency to work hard to wrest the parliamentary seat from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2012 general election.

Addressing a constituency delegates' conference of the party at Ejisu, on Wednesday, he gave the assurance that the government would work to fulfil all of its election campaign promises made to Ghanaians.

The MCE, however said, for this to be achieved, the people should rally solidly behind the political leadership.

New constituency officers of the NDC were elected by the delegates.

They are Mr Joseph Kofi Acheampong, Chairman, Malam Awudu, Vice Chairman, Mr R.P.K Gyambibi, Secretary, Madam Gloria Huzu, Women Organizer and Eugene Agyaku, Propaganda Secretary.

Mr Boakye-Agyeman advised the new Constituency Executive to work as a team and explain government policies and programmes to the people in order to win more voters for the party.

Mr Acheampong thanked members for electing them and pledged to ensure that all structures of the party in the constituency are functional to give the NDC resounding victory in the next election.

He said the executive would work together with members and sympathizers to uplift the image of the party in the constituency.
