Tension gripped Hoima Town yesterday following a disagreement between two rival taxi drivers associations. The Oil Region Drivers Association (ORDA) are contesting a decision by the district contracts committee to award a tender to manage the Hoima Bus and Taxi Park to Hoima Drivers Forum (HODRIFO).
Speaking to Daily Monitor yesterday, the ORDA chairman, Mr Norman Ayebale, said: " It (tender) has been awarded to a company which has been witch-hunting us. We doubt whether they will offer us an ample working environment."
