After four weeks of competition and grooming at the MTN Soccer Academy, in Accra, Ghana, two of the 14 teammates will be evicted on Sunday, November 1, 2009.

The eviction programme, which will be aired on AIT Nigeria and Metro TV Ghana, will however not be palatable to the teammates who are beginning to settle down in the house, and having the best of the various activities that were put together to engage them. The teammates - seven representatives each from Nigeria and Ghana - have their unique numbers through which viewers at home vote to keep them in the Academy or otherwise. They are: Teammate 1 , Samuel Nkwo (Nigeria); Teammate 2 , Hillary Okonkwo (Nigeria); Teammate 3 , Arago Jamal (Ghana); Teammate 4, Adu Poku (Ghana); Teammate 5, Hayford Nuako (Ghana); Teammate 6, Pope Ineh (Nigeria); Teammate 7, Daniel Opare (Ghana); Teammate 8, Ocloo Raphael (Ghana); Teammate 9, Caygu Williams (Ghana); Teammate 10, Anderson Obadan (Nigeria); Teammate 11, Raphael Okoroafor (Nigeria); Teammate 12, Celestine Ehiram (Nigeria); Teammate 13, Godswill Madukaji (Nigeria) and Teammate 14, Frank Antwi (Ghana).

Nigerian viewers have the opportunity of participating by voting for their favourite teammate through the designated short code: 33118. They can also follow daily activities via the designated TV channels.

The MTN Soccer Academy has since 2007 emerged the biggest and best reality TV show in Ghana, offering a good mix of entertainment and education. The involvement of Nigeria in the 2009 edition has no doubt raised the stake, with increased followership and interest across the two countries.

During their stay in the house, the teammates have not only had the opportunity of being groomed under experienced coaches, but have also had a lifetime experience of building self confidence through interactions and visits to selected places in Ghana.

With the stage set for the first eviction, fillers from the house indicate that the teammates are putting in their best to remain in contention for the grand prize. The overall winner will have a grand prize of Hyundai Tucson 4-wheel drive car as well as a one-year football contract with a local club in Ghana or Nigeria. This is in addition to a 14-day trial with an international club and a five-star round trip to the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa, sponsored by MTN.
