Somalia: Shabelle Concludes Journalism Seminar for More Than 30 Correspondents in Mogadishu

Mogadishu — Journalism seminar training for TV which attended more than 30 correspondents and program producers has been concluded in the radio and TV station of Shabelle Media Network in Mogadishu on Friday.

The seminar was organized by the administration of the Shabelle Media Network to increase the education of the journalists of Shabelle radio and television so as to cover the fact stories, reports, interviews and the other programs. It continued three days.

Sheik Amin Markizi, one of the teachers of the Seminar had talked more about what they taught the correspondents during the seminar and said that they provided more lessons on the journalism especially the TV and also how to report from the warring zones.

He said the aim of their seminar was to upgrade the quality of the journalists as working the TV pointing out that they were very glad to conclude it nicely in the station of Shabelle Media Networ in the Somali capital Mogadishu.

Ibrahim Mohamed Ali known as (Ibrahim Yare), one of the trainers told reporters that most of the journalists who took advantage the seminar were only those of Shabelle radio and Television adding that they also expect to hold more other such seminars for training of the TV and also the radio.

I, Shabelle's Hassan Fantastic and one of those who attended the journalism training seminar for the TV and radio explained more for the reporters how the journalists took advantage about the training pointing out that they learned more on covering the news stories, interviews and use cameras during the work of the TV.

Lastly the spokesman of the Somali composers and one of officials of Shabelle Media Network Osman Abdullahi Gure who attended the seminar had urged all the journalists to put the pressure on covering the fact stories and be away from writing any that could bring problem to population and brings no benefits to society.
