The men's Serie A clash between arch-foes Kampala City Council (KCC) and Kampala Amateur Volleyball Club (KAVC) will highlight the action packed weekend of the semifinal play-offs today.

KCC and KAVC face off in a highly anticipated mid-afternoon clash at Kampala International University (KIU) in Kansanga knowing that the winner of the first-leg will be favourite to breeze into the finals.

In such derbies, form counts for nothing and KCC coach Raffi Bachu will be rallying his troops to seek early dominance of the game in a bid to take the upper hand. Stars like Hassan Ssekajolo, Zed Muzungu and Jeff Lwalanda will be the trump cards for KAVC as their wealth of experience will be very instrumental. Amon Ainebyona, Pierre Kamugasha, Hannington Nsubuga and Tony Lakony will spearhead KAVC's assault.

Elsewhere, Nkumba takes on Ndejje in the battle of the universities at 1.30 p.m.

The women play-offs will be first on card with KAVC slugging it out with Ndejje whereas Nkumba takes on Uganda Christian University (UCU) Mukono in the other early morning fixture.
