Rwanda: Disi Falls in Delhi

Kigali — DIEUDONNE Disi's recent spectacular run was finally halted yesterday. The athletics ace failed to post a podium finish after finishing a distant 6th in the New Delhi half marathon.

The 29-year-old clocked one hour, one minute and thirty seven seconds- a whole one minute and 43 seconds off the pace.

Ethiopia's Deriba Merga retained his title while Kenya's Mary Keitany dominated the women's category.

Merga, who also won this year's Houston and Boston Marathons, beat off stiff competition from compatriot Eshetu Wendimu and last year's runner-up Wilson Kipsang after returning an impressive time of 59:54 minutes.

Wendimu clocked 1:00:02 while Kipsang claimed the final podium slot after returning 1:00:04.
