At least two people have been killed in a big blast which convulsed in Beledweyn town in central Somalia overnight, just as there is calm situation in the town, witnesses told Shabelle radio on Monday.
Residents said that the explosion was very big and could be heard all directions in the town saying that it occurred around the centre of the Hiran region in Beledweyn town killing two people there.
The real aim of that blast is yet unclear and there is no group who claimed the responsibility of the explosion.
Residents of the town had expressed concern about the blast which reportedly said that it also had convulsed the areas where it happened overnight.
More people in the town had gathered to the scene of the explosion on Monday morning.
On the other hand the general situation of the villages north of Beledweyn town where the fighting between forces loyal to the Islamic administration of Hizbul Islam and government soldiers continued over the recent days was normal on Monday.
The TFG soldiers vowed on Sunday that they will not stop the fighting against the Islamist forces against them and controlling districts of the region as they are currently based in Janta Kundishe Mountain out the town in central Somalia.
The latest reports from the town say that both the warring sides Hizbul Islam and the transitional government officials are amassing troops which both sides plan to struggle the control of Beledweyn town in central Somalia.
