Tunisia: Country to Assist Cameroon's Tourist Sector

Tunis — Tunisia will help Cameroon develop its tourism sector insofar as training of personnel, infrastructure, services and the promotion of the tourist offer in both countries, are concerned.

Three Tunisian experts will be sent to Cameroon to help the country set up its technical and pedagogical training system.

The announcement was made following the works of the second session of the Tunisian -Cameroonian tourism commission which concluded on Saturday in Tunis.

The Commission's final report was signed jointly by the Tunisian Minister of tourism Mr Khelil Laajimi and his Cameroonian counterpart, Mr El Hadj Baba Hamadou.

Cameroon which plans to boost its tourism potential, has requested Tunisia's support insofar as studies and implementation of tourism projects are concerned.

Previously, the Cameroonian delegation met with officials from the Tunisian hotel federation (FTH) as well as members of the council of Tunisian architects.
