Abuja — The Amirul Hajj and the leader of the Federal Government's delegation to the 2009 Hajj, Senator Kanti Bello in conjunction with the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has acquired 5000 additional hotel accommodation for Nigerian pilgrims in Madina.

This followed the report which indicated that accommodation in Madina has reached a saturation point due to what the commission called efficient and successful airlift of pilgrims to Saudi Arabia this year. A statement signed by NAHCON's Head of Media, Uba Mana, said the latest accommodation will be sufficient for incoming flights for the next two days to the Holy land and would ease housing problem faced in Madina.

The Amirul Hajj, Senator Bello, has further directed the air carriers to continue with airlift of pilgrims as earlier scheduled, assuring all intending pilgrims that he would do everything possible to make their spiritual journey not only hitch-free but a memorable one.
